My first game project, spent half the time figuring out how to do stuff but it was a great learning experience.

Gamepads should work outside the menus, A to Jump and X to Slide.

If you can't get pass a yellow checkpoint try sliding

I went to check the code after people commented on the lack of coyote time and I noticed I didn't enable coyote time when falling from a slide, woops.

Accidentally left in a debug label that shows your speed, that wasn't supposed to be there

This was super cool, I love the focus on building speed! The platforming already feels pretty good, but I think adding some "coyote time," when jumping near the edge of a platform, will make the platforming feel even smoother.

Great game!

There's coyote time and jump buffer but it might not be generous enough

Ah, cool! I played the game some more; I can definitely feel the coyote time when I'm not sliding. When I start moving faster (which is really fun btw), the timing feels a little tight to jump off a platform. Maybe scale the coyote time window with speed?

Great idea!

I really enjoyed it to be honest, it was kind of hard at the beginning but mostly because I'm kind of a noob :p.

The debug speed actually was a good thing. I would say overall it was a great first submission, so kudos for that.

Very impressive for a first submission! The art is very cute, and I really liked the sprite animation for sliding under! very creative!

The debug speed didn’t bother me, I actually liked being able to see it :D

Some possible improvements: the final jump in level 2 is quite difficult (luckily the save point is right there). In level 3, I couldn’t get past the first door.

To bring it to the next level, you could add music and SFX.

Thanks, the slide gives you a small speed boost you can use to cross the yellow speedcheck, I should've added a hint there. Also I ran out of time before adding music and SFX but that's definitely my plan :)

Ahh! Got it! Now i made it! (Also nice you have a level selector so went back straight to it :D)
